Cadogan Hall
Requiem for Colour by Jeffery Ames, is a tribute to Black ancestry, recognizing the sorrows and joys of a race that has fought for freedom with reverence and dignity while celebrating the beauty of its fascinating “colourfulness.” Vox Anima London is thrilled to welcome the composer to conduct his Requiem for Colour.
The concert opens with the sublime music of Ola Gjeilo - Edward Norris introduces us to Ola with Glen Cove High School from New York. Irene Messoloras then leads a festival choir performance for Vox Anima London with Ola at the piano. Following his critically-acclaimed late night Prom with VOCES8 at the Royal Albert Hall in 2023, Ola is delighted to return to the London stage for this inspiring collaboration with Irene and Edward at Cadogan Hall.
