Richard Hammond-Hall

Richard Hammond-Hall is an accomplished accompanist, educator, and choral musician whose career spans performance, music education, and artistic leadership. He has collaborated with many of the UK's leading young singers and instrumentalists and maintains a busy schedule as an experienced choral accompanist. In recent years, he has worked alongside distinguished conductors including James Meaders, Erin Freeman, Chris Maunu, and Vassily Sinaisky.

With more than fifteen years' experience in music education, Richard has taught in a wide variety of settings, including the Merton Music Foundation, Westminster School, Surbiton High School, and Woldingham School. He has prepared choirs for performances at the Royal Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall, and Cadogan Hall, and has led ensembles on international tours, live television broadcasts, and world-premiere performances. His students have gone on to study at leading conservatoires and universities, including the Royal College of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and Berklee College of Music.

Between 2018 and 2023, Richard served as Director of Music at a parish church in Kent, where he founded a junior choir and established a Choral and Organ Scholarship Programme that received national recognition from both the Cathedral Music Trust and the Royal School of Church Music. He also serves as a Trustee of the Thames Youth Orchestra.

Richard read Music at King's College London, where he was Organ Scholar and accompanied the internationally acclaimed Chapel Choir under the direction of the late David Trendell. He subsequently completed a Master of Music in Piano Accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama before continuing as an Artist Fellow, combining professional accompaniment with teaching in the Keyboard Faculty.

Richard joined Vox Anima London in 2026 as Artistic Director of the International Children's Choir Festival and Director of Community Engagement. In this role, he leads the artistic development of the International Children's Choir Festival while expanding the organisation's educational and community programmes, helping to inspire the next generation of young musicians both locally and internationally.
