Konzertchor Aalen, Germany

Aalen Concert Choir consists of around 60 enthusiastic singers. They meet once a week to rehearse for their twice yearly concerts led by conductor Katja Trenkler.  The community aspect of the choir is important and is reinforced through a wide variety of activities and choir trips. Driven by the enthusiasm for choral music and the fun of singing, they enjoy seeing a piece of music grow from the first careful introduction to the concert. Through their concerts they seek to bring the joy of music closer to the audience and, in addition to the well-known works of classical choral literature, they also perform works by contemporary composers. The Aalen Concert Choir is a member of the Association of German Concert Choirs (VDKC) and part of the Aalen Oratorio Association. It can look back on more than 50 years of tradition and was founded in 1945 under the name “Oratorio Choir”.
