Johns Creek High School Chamber Choir, Georgia, USA

Shannan O’Dowd graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education. In addition to serving as the Choral Director at Johns Creek High School, Ms. O’Dowd is the Children’s and Youth Choir Director at Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. In 2017, she won a Shuler Award, presented by the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards, for Music Direction for the JCHS production of Cinderella, and in 2018 she was a nominee for Music Direction for the JCHS production of 42nd Street. Prior to joining the faculty at JCHS, Ms. O’Dowd taught music theory for the Savannah Children’s Choir summer camp and was a student teacher at Hillgrove High School in Cobb County. She is currently a member of Coro Vocati, a professional chamber choir in Atlanta.
