The Isabel Voices, Ontario, Canada

The Isabel Voices is an innovative vocal ensemble based in Kingston, Ontario. Since their founding in 2023, they have become a cornerstone of the Kingston artistic community, gaining recognition for their creative and impactful performances. The ensemble is a proud recipient of funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, the City of Kingston Arts Fund, and the Ballytobin Foundation.

The Isabel Voices comprises two vocal groups: a larger ensemble of approximately 60 singers and a smaller group of singers that together perform around six concerts per season. Recent collaborations have included remarkable performances with the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Chamber Choir.

Notable projects include a stirring performance of Christopher Tin's The Lost Birds, accompanied by a large-scale educational outreach initiative, as well as a moving rendition of Considering Matthew Shepard by Craig Hella Johnson. This performance was complemented by a community outreach program that celebrated the work of queer artists in Kingston. Other achievements include the Canadian premiere of Dan Forrest's CREATION and the world premiere of a composition by esteemed Canadian composer, John Burge.
