
First Baptist Church, Richmond, VA
One Accord is an auditioned choir composed of members from the seventy-five-voice Adult Choir of the First Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. The choir has performed concerts in various international locations, including Mexico City, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Austria, Italy, and Romania. In addition, they have given performances throughout the eastern seaboard of the US. One of the choir's notable performances took place on the main stage at Carnegie Hall, where they sang works by composer Morten Lauridsen, who accompanied them on the piano.
The choir's principal role is to provide worship leadership at Richmond’s First Baptist Church.
The choir has a diverse repertoire, singing a variety of classic and eclectic church music for both worship services and concerts. Dr. Philip Mitchell, who has been the Associate Pastor for Christian Worship at the church since 2001, conducts One Accord.
