Colgan High School Chamber Ensemble, VA

Colgan Chamber Ensemble Singers is the premier SATB ensemble at Colgan High School for the Performing Arts in Prince William County, Virginia. The ensemble is recognized for its refined musicianship, expressive artistry, and commitment to collaborative choral excellence, fostering a rehearsal culture that values precision, curiosity, and ensemble unity. Their 2024 performance at the Virginia Music Educators Association Conference led to an invitation to perform with the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble VOCES8. Colgan High School, which opened in 2016, was purposefully designed to support the arts and features state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal spaces, including the largest auditorium in the division, a Black Box Theatre, soundproof practice rooms, and dedicated fine arts facilities. The school community is deeply committed to inclusivity, ensuring that all students feel valued and empowered through shared artistic experiences. 

Ms. Keri C. Staley is in her sixth year as Choir Director, CFPA Voice Coordinator, and Music Theatre Director at Colgan High School for the Performing Arts. She previously served as Choir Director in Fairfax County and is Chairperson of the Executive Board of Caritas Nova. A former alto section leader with Voce Chamber Singers and past Vocal Jazz Repertoire & Resources Chair for VCDA, Ms. Staley holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. Her professional performance background includes work as a recording artist on the Grammy-nominated album Open Road by Jim Van Slyke, as well as performances in concert and cabaret venues in New York City and Washington, DC.
