Central Oregon Mastersingers, OR
Central Oregon Mastersingers is a premier choral ensemble based in Bend, Oregon, USA, dedicated to artistic excellence and to enriching the cultural life of its community through high-quality choral performance. Founded in 2005, the ensemble brings together accomplished volunteer singers from across Central Oregon to explore a broad repertoire spanning classical masterworks, contemporary compositions, and innovative collaborative projects.
The 2025–2026 season marks the ensemble’s 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of artistic growth and community impact. Under the leadership of Artistic Director and Conductor Christian Clark, the Mastersingers have expanded their artistic profile while maintaining a strong commitment to accessibility, with many performances offered free or at low cost to the public.
Recent invited performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall in New York City and at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. In addition, members of the Mastersingers have participated in choral festivals and musical exchanges in Germany, France, and Italy, reflecting the organization’s active engagement with the global choral community.
A recent artistic highlight was a collaboration with vocalist and composer Moira Smiley, including the commissioning and premiere of a new choral work. Through such partnerships, the ensemble actively supports living composers and contributes to the continued evolution of the choral art form.
